How this started.
We had crop plans that nobody on the farm could carry out. So we trained a small cohort of students to run them. Demand for those students outran the cohort, and that became Prepo.
Two tracks, on par.
Neither leads to the other. Choose by the work you want to do.
Certified Farm Operator
For people who want to run the operation: daily work on the farm, farm economics, turning yield into revenue, and dealing with the buyer.
Execute, observe, record, escalate
- Irrigation and fertigation operations
- Water quality and basic chemistry
- Pest and disease observation
- Yield to revenue conversion
Certified Junior Agronomist
For people who want to go deep on growing: plant science, diagnostics and the decisions that move yield.
Observe, measure, interpret, hypothesise, verify, recommend, monitor
- Plant physiology and the root zone
- Crop steering and climate management
- Pest and disease diagnostics
- A case-based final practicum
Each track has 13 modules, over about one month plus a practicum. Every module ends in a graded assessment of 10 multiple-choice and 3 scenario questions, on academy.greenzy.in. You get the certificate only if you pass.
Ways to learn without a certificate.
